This year is the 45th Lubbock Lecture and we are delighted to announce that this will be given by Dr Sophie Mougard, Director of the École des Ponts ParisTech, the oldest Civil Engineering institution in the world.
The Lubbock Lecture for Schools event will be of particular interest to Year 12 and 13 students who are considering studying engineering at degree level. As part of this event, you and your students will have the chance to:
- Participate in a Q&A Session with Dr Mougard
- Hear our student ambassadors share the reasons that engineering inspires them
- View our 4th-year student projects and help judge our 4th-year Project Prize
- Tour an Oxford College and get an idea of what it’s like to study here
After this, you and your students are welcome to stay for Dr Mougard’s lecture.
The main programme will run from 10:30-16:45 in the Department’s Information Engineering Building. If you or your students would like to stay for the main lecture, this will finish at 18:00 in the Mathematical Institute.
Places are limited and students are required to attend this event with their teachers. To reserve places on this event, please email me, Libby McGowan, on email@example.com by Friday 3rd May. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
