St Anne's, Trinity and Lincoln colleges will be running a free residential conference for teachers who have responsibility for, or a role in, the UCAS application process and/or supporting candidates to make an application to Oxbridge or other selective universities.
The event will take place from the 2nd July until the 4th July, with free transport offered by coach with pick-up points in central Newcastle and Darlington. Teachers will stay for two nights in college accommodation and have all meals catered for, including a welcome dinner with Trinity’s President, Dame Hilary Boulding. Trinity College's Head of Access, Hannah Rolley, will run sessions covering the Oxford application process, what makes a competitive application, the personal statement, the teacher reference and useful enrichment activities, alongside Q&A sessions. Where possible, teachers will also attend events in their subject department during the Open Day and have opportunities to attend mock interview sessions.
If you would like to sign up to this event, please complete this online form: https://www.trinity.ox.ac.uk/north-east-residential-teacher-conference-2019/. Should this event be oversubscribed, priority will be given to teachers from schools with low progression to HE/Oxbridge.
